Laura Grace Ellis is a data leader who aims to make data science and analytics accessible to everyone.
Laura Grace Ellis is the author of littlemissdata.com. She is the Vice President of Data & AI at Rapid7.
Laura is a data leader with the technical skills to implement analytic projects and soft skills to drive project success and speak analytics to a non technical audience. Her mission is to make artificial intelligence, data science and analytics accessible to everyone in a secure and scalable manner.
Laura started her analytic journey with databases and has been hooked ever since. As a natural progression, she moved from databases to BI and then on data science and predictive modeling. In an effort to enable a wider audience of data consumers, she then pivoted to focus on real-time event streaming platforms and data applications. Most recently she is designing and implementing scalable and highly compliant data systems.
She he has worked in the data field holding a variety of positions for almost 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Software Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Science in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University. She is active in the patent community and a variety of data communities. She is co-host of Data Mishaps Night.
